Annual Gala

Dr. Ed Bloomfield and Betty Lou Ormonde Selling Raffle Tickets at ‘Who Killed Morgan Crusher’ Gala, 2004
In order to bring their vision to life, the Artesia Historical Society embarked on a mission to raise funds in an unforgettable way. The Society’s board and early members gathered to brainstorm ideas, aiming to create an event that would not only captivate the community but also serve as a vital fundraiser. Thus, the Gala was born.
Each year, this event adopts a unique theme, transforming the evening into a journey through time or to exotic locales. Past Galas have whisked guests away to a Hawaiian paradise, back to the nostalgic 1950s, or into the intrigue of a mystery dinner. The evening is filled with entertainment, a catered dinner, a silent auction, an exciting opportunity drawing, and a boutique offering delightful finds.
Mark your calendars and stay tuned for the next Gala, traditionally hosted at the Albert O. Little Community Center. Join us for a night of elegance, fun, and community spirit, all in support of preserving our local history.
